Help Us Spread the Word About FREE Summer Meals!
Join us for an energizing day to kick-off the summer fun on:
July 8, 2013

Happy Monday! I hope you’re all enjoying the gorgeous weather. On this hot day of summer, I’m reminded of the millions of kids who struggle with hunger all year but even more in the summer when they don’t have consistent access to free breakfast and lunch programs. We can help! Did you know there are numerous sites across CT that serve FREE summer meals all summer long to children under 18?

Share Our Strength’s No Kid HungryCampaign in Connecticut is helping our lead partner End Hunger Connecticut! promote their Volunteer blitz recruitment day on July 8th. At this event the Governor will be on hand to promote the numerous summer meals sites in CT serving FREE food to children 18 and under.

Why?
To raise awareness of the FREE federally funded nutritious meals & snacks available for
children 18 years of age and under during the summer season.

Where?
Blitz Day will occur in 5 regions throughout the state:
      Hartford      Norwalk
      Groton        Waterbury
      Naugatuck
